Management of Allergies- an Ayurvedic Perspective
Management of Allergies- an Ayurvedic Perspective
Past Events
We always think the pollens, gluten and dairy are problematic as they create allergic reactions and inflammation. Is it really the problem of the pollen when only a minority of the population is getting affected by the blooming spring season? If pollen is responsible for the allergy why most of the people are not having reactions to it? Allergies are sensitive reactions which occur when a person’s immune system reacts to normally harmless substances in the environment. This sensitivity can happen on any of the body surfaces exposed to the external environment including the skin, respiratory system or the gut. In this talk I would like to bring the perspective of Ayurveda, the Traditional Indian Medicine, in understanding the allergies and their management.
